This week we're all about enhancing your creativity.

First up, Pasqua Heard finds out how Umuzi, creative academy and agency based in Johannesburg, will be expanding to Cape Town this year as it continues its mission to make South Africa's creative industry more accessible and inclusive. MD Gilbert Pooley and creative director Odendaal Esterhuyse share how agencies can contribute to diversity in the industry and what it takes to be recruited by Umuzi.

Keeping things creative, M-Net's Local Entertainment representatives explain the power of writing good briefs and increasing collaboration with the agencies creating your powerful work in my Loeries Ranking feature.

Beverley Klein also gets to know this week's #Newsmaker: Siya Metane AKA Slikour and MD at SlikourOnLife. He explains his new venture – SlikourOnLife, part of OnLife Networks, which serves as, “a place for brands to have the power, where stories are told, and which creates inventory for clients to buy.”

Then, BrandsEye takes a deeper dive into how some creativity can be harmful with fake news is driving SA's political agendas, offering a word of caution against believing everything you see in the social media space. There's been a rise in the amount of fake profiles with just a letter or symbol difference from those of trustworthy sources, with many including the phrase “parody account” in their Twitter bios. Be careful out there.
