In an interview, Black Coffee revealed the radio station would be proudly South African.

"You think you're going to hear only house music or South African music on my show, but what we're trying to do is to expose people to me. As in, what do I love as this is my show? What inspires me musically? So it's different sides and genres," Black Coffee said.

Listeners can expect to hear Black Coffee open up about his relationship with US stars Diddy and Swizz Beatz. It will feature collaborations not heard before, including one with Nigerian rapper Burna Boy.

Black Coffee was featured on Drake's Beats 1 radio show in 2015, when the Canadian rapper used a club mix of Black Coffee's Superman on his debut show.

Beats 1 is a 24-hour global internet radio station owned and run by Apple. Its creators claim it is the biggest radio station in the world. Besides regular DJs, it features radio shows hosted by some of the bestknown artists in the world.

Black Coffee's Beats 1 debuts on air on July 28 at 8pm South African time.
