New line-up for the New Year at East Coast Radio

Change is inevitable, and at East Coast Radio, we embrace that. With that said, we are saddened to say good bye to one of our very talented presenters, Darren Scott, at the end of 2010.

Darren has had a successful run of just over four years with the station, where he shared many special moments with the team, and his loyal listeners. From his famous parody songs to his daily Dees Sleaze feature and friendly banter with the rest of the afternoon drive team, he showcased his love and professionalism for good radio. Darren's quick wit and wicked sense of humour made him a leader in the field.

Programming Manager, Naveen Singh says "East Coast Radio is sad to say goodbye to such a talented individual who has made an immense contribution to radio during his time with us. We wish him well in all his endeavours."

Taking over the reigns between 3pm and 6pm weekdays will be ever popular Damon Beard. Damon's heart of gold has captured listeners all around KZN and he will continue to bring listeners exactly what they want to hear in his new time slot.

"I am over the moon to be taking over the drive time show! It will allow me to bring fresh ideas and new features to our listeners. I am looking forward to taking on the new year in true Damon style," said an elated Damon.

While Damon gets you through your afternoon journey home, the charismatic Makhosi Khosa will ease you through your work day between 12pm and 3pm weekdays.
