Investing in African Mining Indaba, also referred to as Mining Indaba, is dedicated to the successful capitalisation and development of mining interests in Africa. Held in Cape Town, South Africa for over 20 years, this event brings together investors, mining companies, governments and other stakeholders from around the world to learn and network, and advance mining on the continent.

The event has a significant impact on the local economy; between 2007 and 2015, it injected R610m into the Cape region and created 5000 jobs.

Jane Steel, Sales Manager for Scan Display Cape Town, says, “Mining Indaba is one of the premier events on the South African exhibition calendar. We are excited to have the opportunity to work with the Mining Indaba team, which has done an exceptional job of managing and growing the show over the past 23 years.”

Alex Grose, Managing Director of Mining Indaba, says, “Mining indaba is committed to being the very best it can be in all aspects of the event, from our staff, to our brand, to our speakers, venue and suppliers. After a thorough review, we were delighted to team up with Scan Display who we feel will provide a fantastic experience for both our sponsors and delegates, in line with our ethos to improve and reinvigorate the event. We believe they will provide a world class solution for a world class event and I look forward to working with them.”

One update for the 2018 event will be the use of Scan Display’s Fabric Booth solution for the exhibition. “This will be a departure from the previously used traditional shell scheme with vinyl branding, and will give the show a different look and feel,” says Steel. “Additionally, the fabric system is a reusable and lightweight branding option which encourages a more sustainable approach to exhibiting.”

All four halls at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) – over 12,000m² of floor space – will be used for the exhibition.

Mining Indaba 2018 will take place at the CTICC from 5-8 February 2018. For more information, visit www.miningindaba.com.
