PMR.africa describes the awards as "the culmination of a research process whereby companies and institutions are rated based on respondents' perceptions with a strong focus on evaluating and measuring customer service and customer satisfaction". The awards are seen as a benchmark for industry and a goal for others to aspire to.

What makes these awards all the more special is that they are based on customer perceptions - institutions may not enter the research themselves, but are nominated by research respondents - making them a truly unbiased reflection of customer satisfaction. The awards recognise companies that stand out within their regions by utilising research measures that include specific criteria against which companies are rated according to the perceptions of respondents.

In response to the achievement Michelle Klein, General Manager of Damelin City Campus said, "It was a proud moment for me as General Manager, receiving acknowledgement and recognition for the passion, commitment and hard work which we at Damelin City Campus generate each day. We are so often engrossed in the day to day running of the business that we forget to pause and reflect on how much we do or how well we do it. This award is a token of acknowledgement and recognition for the passion, dedication and excellent service delivery we continually strive for. This will certainly serve as a motivator for my team to continue striving towards service excellence, brand awareness and significant contributions to the economic growth of our organisation as well as the City region."

Damelin Cape Town City offers Higher Education Diplomas in Business Management, Human Resource Management, Journalism and Media Studies, Marketing Management, Office Management and Travel and Tourism.
