Building your company identity through marketing management

The key factor in marketing is being able to draw people into your brand. It is the ability to convince an individual that they need your brand or product simply by the strategy that is used. What is communicated to the customer will determine what feedback the brand is likely to get.

Marketing is all about studying the target market and reading their response. A person who works in marketing needs to see a need for their campaign in everything they do. They need to identify and take advantage of gaps in the market. Every opportunity for human interaction needs to be seen as a way to develop a winning campaign.

Large brands like DamelinOnline have its own marketing departments working with brand managers to come up with campaigns for the brand. A lot of work goes into ensuring that a campaign is successfully put out. The success of a campaign does not rest solely on the hands of a brand manager; there are other key players that ensure that the marketing manager’s vision for the campaign is brought to life. Designers, copywriters, social media writers and PR coordinators all work in synergy to put the campaign together, while the manager helps drive it. All the work done directly contributes to the image, sales and growth of the company.

Marketing managers are responsible for the brand identity of the company. Different types of campaigns that are sent out for public consumption are often the brains of marketing team. Campaigns promote brand awareness and contribute to the sales and revenue of an organisation. When a company is properly marketed, it grows rapidly.

Marketing managers are strategic planners. For every marketing tool they use, they think of the bigger picture and what they want to achieve with that platform. The primary goal however is to significantly contribute to the growth and expansion of an organisation.

Arusha Ramcharan, marketing assistant at Intec College, studied Marketing Management with DamelinOnline. She is a marketing assistant who has a passion for this field. She enrolled for the course because she wanted to expand her knowledge of this excellent and dynamic profession. She added that she now realises that being in the marketing space requires one to think on their feet.

“I have learnt how to properly strategise. Additionally, being in a fast-paced environment I’ve also learnt the importance of always being two steps ahead,” said Arusha. Arusha feels she now has the skills she needs in her pursuit to be the best. She wants to implement what she has learnt in the workplace. As an aspiring brand manager, her plan is to contribute to the growth and success of the organisation and advance to become a respected brand manager one day.

Like Arusha and many other alumni, DamelinOnline has courses that will set you up for success in the relevant field that you want to venture into.
