In Damelin's aim to continue to ignite young minds, General Manager for Damelin Vaal, Simon Ngubane identified a CSI forum with the Sedibeng Municipality which focuses on helping disadvantaged people within the Vereeniging area. It was through this forum that Damelin Vaal was introduced to CBI Electric who approved Damelin's bursary sponsorship proposal and came on board to sponsor the students.

It was Hadebe Tracey, Ntombizodwa Dunywa, Matete Mamaila, Alice Pofane, Alta Gladness, Liberty Mohlabane, Palesa Mohapeloa and Nomacala Khomela who came out on top and were left in complete surprise when their names were announced as the winners of the bursary sponsorship.

These current Damelin students across the fields of chemical, electrical, mechanical and civil engineering were required to submit letters motivating by why they deserve to receive the sponsorship and have their remaining fees settled.

Simon Ngubane said, "It was certainly a proud moment for Damelin when we received the sponsorship from CBI Electric. This reinforces our goal to invest in the future of our students. We can happily say that through this generous contribution from the municipality and CBI Electric, we have achieved this."

He added, "On behalf of Damelin I would like to express my gratitude to the Sedibeng Municipality and CBI Electric for recognising the need among the students and helping them achieve their dreams."

The students further expressed their thanks to the sponsors and promised to continue to study hard and achieve exceptional results.

In closing, Mrs Singh of CBI Electric said that Damelin is a credible institution and she looks forward to future initiatives in which to make a difference in the lives of financially needy students.

Damelin is a multi-award-winning private higher education institution and has over 105 courses offering a variety of higher education degrees, diplomas, higher certificates, certificates and short courses.
