Intec College ranked one of the top five ‘Coolest Colleges' in South Africa

Intec College, a leading distance education brand, was recently ranked among the top five ‘Coolest Colleges' in the country at the Sunday Times Generation Next Awards. The awards ceremony which took place at the Sandton Convention Centre Pavillion, was a culmination of a survey conducted by HDI Youth Marketeers.

The survey which was polled with over 10,000 youth across the country is an integral marketing tool that identifies brands that youth prefer to support.

Intec College is a market leader in Further Education and Training via distance learning that spans over 110 years within the education landscape and this award reinforces the brands aim to stay up to date and relevant in its market.

The annual awards, now in its 12th year, attracted South Africa’s top business professionals and marketers and provided a platform to acknowledge successful brands in the country. Youth that participated in the survey ranged from both urban and peri-urban areas.

In an interview with Intec College Principal Phillip Slatter on winning this prestigious title he said, “We are delighted to be one of the country’s ‘Coolest Colleges’. HDI Youth Marketeers are truly at the top of their game when it comes to youth perception studies and we value their track record of dynamic insights into the aspirations of young adults. For us as a college, this award is a sign that our motto of ‘making a difference in the lives of our youth through a vibrant team effort’ is paying off.”

According to the GM Sales and Marketing at Times Media, Reardon Sanderson, in an article published by GoodThingsGuy.com, the survey will continue to provide substanstial information that drives the youth's brand choices. He mentioned that he is proud to make these statistics available to the country.

Phillip added, “Next month, Intec College turns the ripe 'old' age of 111 and it’s a proud moment to acknowledge that we can still be regarded as a ‘cool’ college. We do indeed remain young at heart and inspired to keep creating meaningful cutting-edge educational experiences for our students well into the future."

Intec is provisionally registered as a private college with the Department of Higher Education and Training under the Continuing Education and Training Act, and offers students a wide range of courses to choose from. Courses fall under six schools, namely Business, Computer, Creative, Vocational, Technical and High school.
