Damelin KZN receives Golden Arrow Award for excellence in the education sector

Damelin KwaZulu-Natal was voted 'top' college and training institution in the province after receiving the prestigious Golden Arrow Award at the Leaders and Achievers Breakfast on Wednesday, 8 October 2014 at the Coastlands Umhlanga Hotel in Durban.

The annual awards hosted by PMR Africa, is a platform to showcase companies who have successfully stimulated economic growth and development in the province after conducting a regional survey in KwaZulu-Natal. The survey serves as a measurement tool, assessing the company's successful contributions to the province. It also aims to reinforce the calibre and standard expected of companies in the industry.

Results for this survey were derived after extensive research was conducted, with hundreds of respondents comprising of CEO's, managers and senior government officials voting for organisations with exceptional quality and distinction.

At the breakfast, Damelin also awarded a lucky individual, Louis Botha of Blue Security, with a bursary worth R5000. The elated Louis echoed the sentiments of the awards, adding that Damelin is the leading education and training institution in the province. He said, "It was a fantastic gesture from Damelin to give away a bursary and invest in the education of an individual. My son is currently a successful Damelin student, which alone expresses the excellent reputation we know Damelin to have in the education market. I would like to thank Damelin for awarding me with the bursary as well as congratulate them on receiving the Golden Arrow Award."

Damelin KZN, including Damelin Westridge, Damelin Durban City and Damelin Pietermaritzburg have served as undisputed leaders in the industry in KwaZulu-Natal, thus continuing to emphasise the brands approach to education.

National Campus Manager, Kapil Jaggeth said, "It was certainly an honour to share the limelight with notable winners in other categories, all who have excelled in their line of expertise. With almost seventy years of excellence in the private education sector, this award is evidence that Damelin continues to deliver innovative, yet relevant programmes to our students, while contributing to skills development and employability in the province."
