Launch Factory, Glamour Aid unite to produce charity calendar gala

Launch Factory's recent collaboration with Glamour Aid resulted in a star studded charity gala held in August at The Palms in Sandton. Glamour Aid is a Section 21 non-profit organisation dedicated to fighting mental and physical abuse in South Africa. The motivation behind their gala evening was the unveiling of their groundbreaking 2008 celebrity calendar.

Featuring a wide cross-section of famous South African faces the calendar is an artistic representation of the emotions and viewpoints of each celebrity regarding abuse. Participants in the project included Gary Player, Leleti Khumalo, Megan Coleman and Oscar Pistorius to name just a few.

Launch Factory undertook the design and production of the Glamour Aid gala completely free of charge. Well known actor David Vlok was the MC for the evening and all proceeds from the sale of the calendars auctioned off during the event went to POWA and WMACA – two charities that provide assistance and education to victims of abuse.

Glamour Aid's guests included philanthropist Edith Venter, actor Michael De Pinna and former Miss South Africa Claudia Henkel.
