The pMailer Education Project will give schools across the country access to free email marketing and communication tools. Millions of email credits have been donated to the project by pMailer parent company, Prefix Technologies, to ensure any school in South Africa is able to send newsletters to parents and alumni.
"Our hope is that by enabling communication between schools and parents, we can have an impact on education in a small but meaningful way," says Walter Penfold, Prefix Technologies MD, "Any registered school can apply, and we'll provide them with a complete suite of tools and training to achieve this at no cost".
Each school account will receive a free pMailer account loaded with 6000 free email credits per month. On top of this, schools will be able to send SMS's at a discounted flat rate, regardless of how many credits they need.
Schools can now easily create professional looking emails by using pMailer's simple tools and special collection of email templates. Email templates are specifically designed for regular school communications like school newsletters, announcements, reminders, invitations and sport updates will be pre-installed for each school account. With pMailer's reliable delivery engine, schools can be rest assured on their message delivery and with powerful reporting tools; they can gain great insights into their email communications and readers. Communications can also extend beyond the reach of email recipients; by including a social share footer in email communications, readers will have the opportunity to easily share school communications with their friends via social networks such as twitter, facebook and more.
Schools will also be able to register for free training sessions to familiarise themselves with the pMailer product and achieve maximum results using their pMailer accounts. Registered South African schools across the board from pre-primary to primary and secondary institutions all qualify for the pMailer Education Project package.
