Oasys Hiring donates carpeting to the value of R45 000

As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programme, Oasys Innovations recently donated carpeting to Resthaven Ministries' David House in the Southern suburbs of Johannesburg. The carpeting was supplied by the Oasys Innovations Hiring department.

The home was founded in 1979 to address various needs in the community. Says Kevin Kennedy, Managing Director of Oasys Innovations: "The organisation is currently refurbishing some of the homes that they run and we saw it fit to donate the carpeting for this purpose."

The David House provides shelter and other basic requirements to eight HIV positive children, ranging in ages from 2 to 6. "We donated 800m2 of carpet tiles, to the value of R45 000, which will help with the refurbishment of this house" explains Kennedy.

The organisation also has homes for the elderly, a baby centre, as well as a development centre.

"It is important for Oasys to support organisations such as Resthaven Ministries, to help with the alleviation of some of the social suffering that is experienced in the country. We would much rather donate used carpeting that is still in good condition, than simply throwing it away, which would also affect the environment negatively," concludes Kennedy.
