Birds of a feather exhibit together

Poultry and eggs are South Africa's most popular and least expensive sources of protein. The Southern African Poultry Association (SAPA) hosted the AVI Africa 2010 Exhibition and Congress, showcasing the latest products, technologies and skills from exhibitors based across Africa and abroad. Oasys Innovations supplied the infrastructure for the show, which was held at Emperor's Palace.

This year, the Exhibition and Congress attracted 1300 visitors. Kevin Lovell, Chief Executive Officer for SAPA, explains why he believes AVI Africa continues to be popular and successful: "AVI Africa is the only exhibition and congress of this scale and size in Africa. Every year, at least 88 exhibitors take part in the exhibition and around 1300 delegates attend the congress. Our congress has taken place annually since 1904 and has become an established feature on the poultry industry's calendar."

Says Carl Woodland, Chief Operating Officer for Oasys Exhibitions: "Oasys supplied 849m2 of shell scheme, electrical infrastructure and furniture. Design stands, were built for Huhtamaki, Cobb SA, ICC sev formecedor de levedura from Brazil and Ceva Animal Health. We also supplied some audiovisual equipment to the show."
