Oasys gets four in a row at Gallagher

Oasys Innovations, market leader for exhibition and event infrastructure, was the principle supplier for four major consecutive exhibitions at Gallagher Convention Centre. The four shows, measuring more than 25,000m², included Africa's Big 7, SAITEX, The Star Energy Efficiency Exhibition and Decorex.

Says Carl Woodland, chief operating officer for Oasys Exhibitions: “We are proud about our participation in these shows as they are all well known brands in the industry. Contrary to the background of an economic nightmare for many suppliers, this year has thus far been very rewarding for our company. Our efforts in recent years to mature our total supply chain position as an integrated and turnkey supplier of everything that has anything to do with exhibition infrastructure for organizers, and booths for small companies to designer stands for corporate brands have paid dividends.”

Woodland says that each of the exhibitions had their own mark of distinction with variable attractions which clearly indicates that the organizers are focused on their relevant target audiences. “Decorex was a feast for consumers and designers, while The Star Energy Efficiency Exhibition came just at the right time when Eskom announced their new tariffs. Africa's Big 7 is the continent's largest food and beverage show and with aspirations of Africa to become the bread basket of the world this exhibition has attracted strategic decision makers. The South African International Trade Exhibition (SAITEX) attracted exhibitors from countries around the world who would like to trade with South Africa's lucrative industrial and commercial markets.”

“Due to the company's large supply of resources we had no supply problems during each of the four shows and we were also able to host our own customer event over the same time period,” says Woodland. Inventory for the four exhibitions included more than 4000m² of shell schemes, 25,000m² of carpeting, and nearly 30 pavilions and designer stands. Oasys Electrical and Oasys Hiring supplied the electrical infrastructure and furniture for each show.
