With Marco Pierre White and Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen as headline chefs, South Africa’s largest culinary event will be held at the Ticketpro Dome from Friday, 28 July, to Sunday, 30 July 2017.
The latest foodie trends will be dished up and South African foodies will have the chance to interact with the line-up of exciting food personalities, including J’Something, Jenny Morris, Lentswe Bhengu, Sarah Graham, Neill Anthony and Sherwyn Weaich. Also on this year’s Good Food and Wine menu, headline sommeliers Lloyd Jusa (Saxon Hotel) and Gregory Mutambe (12 Apostles Hotel) will be sharing some of their fine wine knowledge with show attendees.
Food waste
The Good Food & Wine Show has made combating food wastage one of its central themes this year. Visitors to the Good Food & Wine Show will get to learn about how food is wasted, and what we can do to make sure we squander less. In addition, all leftover food from the show will be donated to FoodForwardSA, a charitable foundation that helps feed those in need. It collects edible surplus food and redistributes it to non-profit organisations, which feed thousands of hungry South Africans every day.
