2009 marks the sixth consecutive year that Tiger Wheel & Tyre has taken the accolade in The Star newspaper while readers of the Pretoria News have voted Tiger Wheel & Tyre tops for five consecutive years. This vote of confidence comes from readers of the two respective newspapers who participated in the papers' annual surveys.
Earlier in the year Tiger Wheel & Tyre was also named the ‘Best Place to Buy Tyres in KZN' by the readers of the Daily News. The highly coveted ‘Your Choice' awards are run annually by the Daily News, and measure the consumers best loved products and services throughout the KwaZulu-Natal region. Votes were tallied up from more than 43 000 readers of the publication as well as suppliers.
In an unprecedented demonstration of continued support the company was also named as South Africa's Top Retailer in the Tyre and Auto Fitment Centre Category in the Retail Awards 2009, held by The Times and The Sowetan newspapers - two publications of the Avusa media group.

Sandton City store managers, and the CEO and directors of Liberty properties conducted mystery shopper audits amongst tenants, culminating in an awards ceremony to honour the tenants who went that extra mile for their customers. The Sandton Tiger Wheel & Tyre rooftop store was delighted to have been chosen as a leading tenant in 2009.
