Fresh Eye Film Productions co-owners Mario Bozzone and Gavin Gillespie believe that great directing talent attracts new business, while solid business principles and client service retains it. This philosophy works well, as the company has produced commercials for some of the largest advertising agencies all over the world.

Fresh Eye Film Productions has gained a reputation for producing high-end production as well as adding its own unique brand of creativity to all its directing projects. They have done work for mostly 'blue chip' clients that include Telkom, Vodacom, BMW, DSTV, Dulux, Hansa, Samsung, Steers, McDonalds, Toyota, Revlon, Unilever, South African Breweries, Henkel, Mazda, Distell, RBK, Clover, ABSA and Kellogg's, among many others.

Fresh Eye Film Productions boasts a variety of in-house editing and dubbing facilities. This helps to ensure that research and development can be done more thoroughly at a lower cost to the client.

Fresh Eye Film Productions has six Film Directors all with individual talents:-

Jonathan Parkinson
Jonathan Parkinson is a multi-award winning director who has been directing commercials since 1989. He is regarded as one of the doyens in the SA's film industry. His most sought after skill is to combine high visual performance with complex live action and post effects. He says there is no substitute for great original ideas and that each project must be treated on its own individual merit. His reel reflects an extremely broad range of subject matter and different styles. His motto is: Entertain, enlighten, make them laugh, make them cry. Touch someone emotionally, whether with beauty, with power, with sadness or with laughter - make them take notice and they will remember your brand always."

Supa Mbele
Supa graduated from the Chelsea College of Art & Design as an industrial design major, following which, he began working as a freelancer in United States. In 2002 he returned to the country and enrolled at South Africa School of Motion Picture Media and Live Performance, AFDA to study writing and directing. During his studies, Supa produced a student short film titled The Voices, which was represented at the Sithengi Film Festival, which is an annual celebration of South African and international films held in Cape Town.

The young director has experience in the fields of series, documentary and television commercial filming. He has also filmed live performances and was behind the scenes of 20 award-winning music videos for some of the countries well know known artists and international artists. He has filmed music videos for the likes of The Parlotones, Akon and Thandiswa Mazwai and many others.

Bevan Cullinan
Bevan Cullinan is one of South Africa's top stand-up comedians and immensely popular as a director due to his flair for turning any board into a comedic masterpiece. He brings his energy and eye for physical and comedic performance to a screen, but it's his sense of timing that has elevated him onto the list of top comedy directors in South Africa. He has won awards for his work on some of South Africa's biggest brand names. His most recent success was combining acting with directing when he took on the role of a fantasy character in a series of commercials for M-net.

Cindy Lee
In 2004, film director Cindy Lee exchanged her pen for a camera after reaching the top of a copywriting career in advertising. It was her ambition and vision to be noted as one of the best performance directors in the business, something she has achieved with ease. A combination of understanding advertising after more than 12 years in the industry, a gift for copywriting and a flair for film directing has given Cindy a distinct edge which she fully utilizes. Her string of awards from every recognisable industry award ceremony is impressive with a Cannes Silver Lion topping the list.

Greg Francois
In the 16 years Greg has been directing commercials, he has built a reputation for adding real production value to a diverse range of multi-national accounts across the globe. Since joining Fresh Eye, Greg has completed a diverse range of local and international projects, ranging from Beauty, to action, and to adventure. Greg has shot 12 Aqua Minerale commercials and helped position them at the top end of the market. Global tyre brand Dunlop and their agency have repeatedly used Greg to produce their big idea and very visually demanding commercials.

Johnny Cohen
After five years in advertising as a copywriter, during which he won numerous local and international awards, Johnny began directing commercials at the age of 23. More than a decade on, he has worked in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and South Africa - shooting for a diverse range of clients, from Coca Cola to Mercedes Benz: via fashion, banks, mobile networks, beauty and confectionary. As a keen observer of human nature, Johnny goes to great lengths to bring the ideal performance out of actors and believes the best way to achieve this is right behind the camera, not seated at the monitor like many of his contemporaries. Whether it is high comedy or a slice of pure reality his clients are looking for, Johnny feels composition and camera movement are as vital to the success of a commercial as great acting performances: an approach that seems to be working, judging from his commercials featured on SHOTS and the awards he has won over the years - including a Cannes Bronze Lion. For Johnny, the concept is everything. So he believes firmly in making sure the execution enhances, rather than overshadows it. Sometimes a script needs an incredibly simple, classic treatment - to allow the audience to simply breathe and absorb the message. Other times, the goal is to grab viewers by the eyeballs and take them on a heart-stopping ride. But in every case, the central idea must be mined and brought to the surface, where it can shine.
