The South African National Parks (SANParks) has appointed Reuben Ngwenya as the new GM of the northern region parks; Marakele, Mapungubwe, and Golden Gate. Ngwenya is to replace Lombard Shirindzi, who left the organisation to pursue other interests.
Ngwenya was formerly one of the regional managers at the Kruger National Park. Ngwenya has more than 27 years of experience in the field of conservation and holds a master's degree in environmental management.
