Achievement Awards Group is looking for a digital campaign/database manager. As a digital campaign manager you will develop, manage and maintain Achievement Awards Group's databases to support client acquisition and portfolio retention for all Achievement Awards Group brands.

You will be running the full life cycle of marketing campaigns from initial planning, development, content, automation, roll-out, and assessment of results. You will be responsible for determining the best possible method of organising data, recording and implementing promotional campaigns, working alongside a number of people within the business be it for communication purposes or targeted marketing campaigns.

You will have the ability to dive deep into data, recommending segmentation and granular criteria for maximum client experience and return on investment.

Email and SMS campaign management and distribution
  • Manage digital campaign execution and testing based on customer segmentation, data analytics and competitor research: email and SMS
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and budgets to support digital campaign requirements
  • Lead management: manage the distribution of incoming leads, in response to all digital campaigns, to the relevant brands within the business
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to help bring marketing campaigns to market
  • Work with internal resources to analyse and optimise targeting, and with campaign management tools to process digital campaign data for absolute optimisation
  • Work with internal resources to develop new digital campaign creative
  • Participate in the development and execution of new customer acquisition models that lead to higher response rates and incremental revenue
  • Use A/B testing to optimise creative, messaging, offer amounts and call to actions for maximum return on investment
  • Liaison between legal, compliance and other key stakeholders
List purchasing:
  • Partner with external list vendors and brokers to acquire best performing lists and research new test lists
Analytics and reporting:
  • Analyse and report digital campaign results
  • Conduct detailed analysis to optimise and enhance campaign performance (profiling, segmentation)
  • Feedback to internal stakeholders and marketing and recommend opportunities garnered from learnings and response generation
  • Support marketing team with ad-hoc analysis to improve overall campaign results
Example of daily tasks:
  • Overlooking database design
  • Setting up and testing new database and data handling systems
  • Monitoring database efficiency
  • Designing and preparing reports for management
  • Developing protocols for data processing
  • Creating complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted
  • Training colleagues in how to input and extract data
Required skills
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with a good eye for detail and accuracy
  • Conceptual skills to be able to design and develop campaigns in the marketing automation platform software
  • Ability to understand business needs
  • Understanding of structured query language (SQL)
  • Knowledge of 'relational database management systems' (RDBMS), object-oriented database management systems' (OODBMS) and XML database management systems
  • Experience with their database software/web applications, e.g Everyltic or MailChimp
  • Up-to-date knowledge of ICT
 Experience
  • Relevant degree in computer science, business administration with marketing
  • Minimum five years of digital marketing experience with an emphasis in direct mail strategy, market segmentation, customer acquisition and data analytics
  • Comprehensive understanding of direct response marketing principals and strategies
  • Demonstrated success planning and executing comprehensive direct mail customer acquisition programs
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing software management tools
  • Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Advance knowledge of Excel required
  • Experience with direct/digital mail creative development, market research and competitive intelligence
  • Proven track record of managing a variety of projects and timelines and ability to delivery results on time and within budget
