Jim Whitehurst, the CEO of solutions company, Red Hat, has been announced as CEO of the Year by the 2016 SIIA Company CODiE Awards - a peer-reviewed award that showcases business and education technology's products and services.
The award, marks the first time that the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) has presented an award to a technology industry leader. Whitehurst was selected based on his leadership qualities, his impact on Red Hat associate satisfaction and his role in Red Hat's community contributions over the past year.
Whitehurst was also recently announced as 2016 EY Technology Entrepreneur of the Year Southeast award.
