Hartenberg Wine Estate has been award gold at the Decanter World Wine Awards for its Gravel Hill Shiraz 2012 while its not-yet-released Gravel Hill Shiraz 2013 collected gold at the Syrah du Monde International Competition. The Decanter World Wine Awards were announced in London on 25 May following the blind tasting of 17,200 entries by a judging panel that consisted of 219 experts, including 65 masters of wine and 20 master sommeliers.
The annual Syrah du Monde International Competition results were announced earlier in May and saw a panel of international judges tasting 372 Syrah/Shiraz wines from 26 countries.
