Marking its fourth year in operation, the Hisense South Africa manufacturing plant in Atlantis, Cape Town has produced its one millionth television set and its one millionth fridge unit. The Hisense manufacturing facility employs over 500 people on a full-time basis and provides training and social upliftment projects contributing to almost 2,000 people in the community, which is plagued by poverty and social issues.
Currently, the plant is working at an average output of 22 seconds per fridge and 20 seconds per television.
