Mazda SA announces launch of Mazda Foundation

Mazda Southern Africa has launched the Mazda Southern Africa Foundation Non-Profit Company, aimed at providing financial aid to funds, authorities, and institutions which qualify for income tax deductibility for gifts and which provide meaningful programmes that make a difference at all levels in the community.

These will include institutions who are dedicated to providing assistance to young people through education and employment skills development, with particular emphasis on children from disadvantaged backgrounds; institutions who provide assistance in the development of technology; and those bodies dedicated to the maintenance and improvement of the natural environment, research, feasibility, surveys or any other work that address community needs that are aligned with the Mazda Foundation's aims and objectives.

Initial funding contributions to the Mazda Foundation were made by Mazda Motor Corporation, Japan and Mazda SA. Further contributions will continue to be made by Mazda Southern Africa supported by the Mazda Dealer Network, its key business partners and suppliers.

The company is endorsed by the South African Revenue Service (Sars) Taxation Office as a tax-deductible gift recipient.
