SunshineCo. announces Women's Month photographic competition winners

Winners of the SunshineCo. Women's Month photographic competition were announced on Thursday, 3 August 2017 at the SunshineCo. Studios in Rosebank.

Entrants were asked to visually celebrate life as a woman, under the banner “Through My Eyes”, and in the process showcase local female photographers. This culminated in a photographic exhibition at the SunshineCo. Studios in Rosebank, where the winner was announced.

Guest judge, South African photographer Jodi Bieber, regaled the audience with exciting tales of her colourful past in photojournalism. She spoke about the current conditions for South African photographers, as well as about her project ”Real Beauty”. “You should always take inspiration from your own lives for your images”, said Bieber. Guests were treated to personal tips and advice from her during the evening.
