    #MusicExchange: Tamara Dey

Tamara Dey has won numerous accolades and was the driving force in the band Flash Republic for over 10 years, but that project is taking a break as she concentrates on her solo work.

Jumping into the studio with producers like DJ Maphorisa, 37 Mph, Kamera, Sketchy Bongo, Emblazon, Ganja beats, Gemini Major, and Cape Town-based producer Armeen Harron, Tamara plans to continue to collaborate with some of the top producers and artists in north, west, east and South Africa and aspires to tour the African continent in 2018; hoping to put herself and her new music on the map throughout Africa and abroad.

Khuli Chana features on a track called Kings; new single called Stuck in Our Way features internationally acclaimed Nigerian artist D’Banj; and her collaboration with acclaimed female house DJ, DJ Zinhle on Colours is enjoying rave reviews and is enjoying rave reviews and extensive airplay.

Tamara Dey has been known for crossing all cultural, age, and language barriers and has unassumingly been recognised as one of the few SA artists contributing towards bridging that gap.

Her music has been described as the ‘unofficial language’; celebrating the heart and soul of South Africa and it seems she’s just getting warmed up. 2018 is set to be one of her most exciting years yet.
