US film-maker opens subsidiary in Morocco

It’s no surprise, given its position, climate and natural beauty, that Morocco is a favourite destination for US and European film production companies.

Tangier - This North African country’s film industry has just been boosted with the opening of a new business venture by a major US production company. Aspects of the new development also promise benefits for the Moroccan tourism industry.

Larry Taylor Productions, a major US-based motion picture production and theme park development company, has formally registered its subsidiary office in Tangier, Morocco.

Larry L. Taylor, company CEO, said his company’s plans for Morocco include a state-of-the art motion picture studio, Fantasy Adventure Studio Tours, and what he claims will be “one of the most unique and exciting theme parks ever to be conceived.

“We will have ride and show attractions that cannot be found anywhere else on earth helping to make Morocco the premier destination for tourists, families and businessmen from all around the world while setting a new standard of entertainment," he added.

Taylor said that his company selected Morocco because of their belief in the country’s potential, plus the fact that the country is ideally situation as a gateway to Europe on the one hand and to the Arab world (especially the Middle East and Gulf region) on the other, along with the increasingly important Asian markets.

He used the opportunity to invite interested Investors, financial groups and businesspeople to join his company in the venture.

Inquires should be directed to ltstudios@aol.com, or to the company’s acting president and CEO, Mohamed Bouhlaoui.
